“See you in March,” wrote the musician from the Netherlands on his social networks, along with photos retouched with the Lollapalooza set. This fact earned him criticism from thousands of users, memes and ironies. So Garrix deleted the post, but it was too late: captures had multiplied across the web.
Given this, the DJ shared a brief letter in which he apologized for what happened. “Hi guys. We received the blured version of the Lollapalooza flyes days ago,” the text begins. In it, he explains that he had preliminary flyers, where all the bands and artists were not yet confirmed, although the main ones were.
“Our sincere apologies for the misunderstanding,” ends the statement that Garrix uploaded along with the correct versions of the flyers. Then, as a mockery of himself, he uploaded a photo of himself with a blured face.
Garrix will perform in Argentina on Sunday March 20, the last of the three dates of the festival. That evening will have Foo Fighters as its main course. Babasónicos, L-Gante, Jane’s Addiction, Emmanuel Horvilleur and Acru, among others, will also participate.
