Baywatch Series: Bikini Museum auctions swimsuit by Pamela Anderson

The store in Bad Rappenau already has swimming trunks by Baywatch star David Hasselhoff in its range. The BikiniArtMuseum is now digging deep into its pockets for an attractive counterpart.

She sprinted across the beach in it and plunged into the water: Pamela Anderson’s world-famous Baywatch swimsuit will soon be hanging in the BikiniArtMuseum in Bad Rappenau, Baden-Württemberg. The museum bought the bathing suit for $ 27,500 (the equivalent of around 25,700 euros), as the museum announced on Monday.

The US auction house Heritage in Dallas sold over 900 rarities from over 100 Hollywood films and TV productions such as Star Trek, Batman, Hitchcock and the Dallas Family over the weekend. Over 40 fans would have bid for the Baywatch suit worn by Pamela Anderson as a lifeguard on the NBC series between 1989 and 2001.

According to the museum, the red garment will now be presented alongside the existing original swimming trunks by Baywatch colleague David Hasselhoff in Bad Rappenau. “This is another sensational quality building block for our hip museum,” said museum director Marco Preißer.
