The Salzburg private broadcaster confirmed a corresponding report by the “Salzburger Nachrichten”. From 2024, the focus in the neighboring country to the north should be on digital distribution via “ServusTV On”. In the future, the media company wants to concentrate more on the home market, where linear programming will continue to be offered.

ServusTV only established its own daily news channel for Germany at the beginning of the year. For this, they cooperated with WeltN24 from the Axel Springer media house. With the death of founder and billionaire Dietrich Mateschitz last year, there was a great deal of guesswork as to how the private broadcaster from the Red Bull Media House could continue. To date, however, no major changes have been announced. In terms of market share, ServusTV remains at the top of domestic private broadcasters, thanks in part to expensive premium sport.
