Former “Beverly Hills, 90210” actress Shannen Doherty (52) has been battling cancer for some time. After the 52-year-old announced more than three years ago that she had had breast cancer again, Doherty has now shared a heartbreaking update on Instagram. Accordingly, the cancer is said to have formed metastases in her brain.

, which was created on January 12 of this year. She writes that a CT scan taken on January 5 showed “metastases in my brain”. The clip shows Doherty wearing a mask during her radiation therapy. The difficult-to-view footage clearly shows that the actress shed tears during the treatment.
“I’m extremely claustrophobic”
“On January 12th, the first round of radiation took place. My anxiety is obvious. I am extremely claustrophobic and I’ve had a lot going on in my life,” Doherty describes her feelings during the radiation in the post text. She also thanks her “great” doctors, and concludes by saying, “This is what cancer can look like.”

The former star of the hit series “Beverly Hills, 90210” (1990-2000) and “Charmed” (1998-2006) was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. She had both breasts amputated. After the disease initially seemed defeated, Doherty made it public in 2020 that she had suffered from stage four breast cancer again.
The actress is open about her illness and regularly describes her experiences and feelings on social networks to encourage others who are affected. : “It’s not about being a warrior or a survivor. It’s about moving on and growing with cancer.”
