The animated series about Lionel Messiby the hand of Sony Music Entertainment found a new partner Atlantis Animation and the project about the Argentine soccer megastar is getting closer to being a reality.

The deal calls for Atlantis to produce as a service company a trailer for a CG animated series inspired by Messi himself. Sony Music’s Premium Content Division, which produces in association with Leo Messi Management, will oversee the development and distribution of the series.


Based in Tenerife, Atlantis Animation is now in full production on the trailer. Catherine Macresy is in charge of producing the trailer.
What will the animated series about Lionel Messi be about?
Aimed at all audiences, the series “will immerse viewers in the epic adventures of a young Messi overcoming titanic challenges while navigating the vibrant world of video games”said a written statement.
The soundtrack will be in charge of international artists and composers signed with the Sony Music Entertainment label, which guarantees a complete audiovisual show.
“Since I was a child, I have always loved animated series and my children are huge fans of animated characters. Being able to participate in an animation project makes me happy, because it fulfills one of my dreams. I would like to thank Sony Music for joining this project and we hope that everyone likes the result, especially girls and boys,” Messi said in an official statement released in March of this year.
The series will be produced in English, Spanish and several other languages. It is not yet known on which platform it will be able to be seen.
