With the work stoppage in its 38th day and a possible SAG-AFTRA (actors union) strike on the horizon, the cast and crew of Zero Day were sent home yesterday, Deadline confirmed.


What is Zero Day about?
De Niro, who currently chairs the Tribeca Film Festival, Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, Joan Allen, Connie Britton and Edi Gathegi they star Zero Day, a six-episode conspiracy thriller from creators Eric Newman, Noah Oppenheim and Michael S. Schmidt. Lesli Linka Glatter, president of the DGA that has just reached a tentative agreement with the studios, is the director and executive producer of the series.
Zero Day asks the question, how do we find the truth in a world in crisis, one seemingly torn apart by forces beyond our control? And in an age rife with conspiracy theories and subterfuge, how many of those forces are the product of our own actions, perhaps even our own imaginations?
At the center of the narrative is De Niro’s Mullen, a popular but complicated figure who returns from retirement to head a commission investigating a global cyberattack.
