The new expertise ordered by the prosecutor will take place next Wednesday at the Institute of Forensic Sciences of the South Conurbano, located in Villa Centenario.
The prosecutor’s request aims to determine the distance between the musician and the policeman at the time of the shooting. To this end, the traces of gunpowder on “Chano’s” garments and Amendolara’s regulatory weapon, which had already been analyzed, were requested to be evaluated.
The incident occurred on July 26 in Exaltación de la Cruz, where the musician was shot.
Previously, “Chano” had had a psychiatric attack because his mother wanted him to be admitted for his drug addiction problem and he refused.
Police Amendolara is the only defendant in the case for the serious injuries he caused to Chano when he shot him.
According to the defense of the uniformed man, he shot him because his life was at risk because the musician with a knife in his hand wanted to attack him.
Amendolara’s defense insists that he acted in self-defense, although for now he is charged with serious injuries.
A psychiatric examination is still awaited to determine if Chano at the time of the event was in use of his mental faculties or not.
The expertise that will be carried out next Wednesday is key because its result could determine that the policeman shot him when he was on top of the musician with a knife in his possession.
