The Argentine director has just released The Flash in theaters and reached an agreement with Warner Bros. to get behind the cameras in a future project of the DC character.
After what Andy Muschiettihinted at his possible participation in the direction of an upcoming film in the DC Universe with Batman as the protagonist, the official confirmation arrived. DC bosses, James Gunn and peter safranthey appointed the Argentine director to take charge of their film of Batman Brave and the Bold.
Another important news for Andy and his sister Barbara (producer of their films) is that signed a first-look deal with Warner Bros. Pictures and Warner Bros. Television Group/Max. The Muschietti are already working on the prequel series for It Welcome to Derry for HBO.
The Muschiettis’ film deal with Warner Bros runs for three years, under which they will develop and produce projects with directing potential. Under their multi-year agreement with Warner Bros Television Group and Warner Bros Discovery’s Max, the duo will continue to develop new television series for multiple platforms, including HBO Max and all third-party outlets.
“Warner Bros. has been an incredible partner to us for years, but more than that, Warner has been a part of our entire lives.”, Andy and Barbara Muschietti said in a statement. “We were watching movies before we could walk, and we spent our formative years as kids at the drive-in, and now we join the Warner Bros. family. It feels like a full circle moment.”

James Gunn revealed regarding the project that it will be a Batman movie centered on his relationship with Robin, who will be the third incarnation of the character Damien Wayne instead of Dick Grayson or Jason Todd.
This will be a new version of Batman completely separate from the version of the character from Robert Pattinson and Ben Affleck.
The film is said to be heavily inspired by the comedic career of Grant Morrison on the hero, as well as on the Tom King. The Brave and the Bold will lead up to the next DCU movie, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
