The driver participated in Guille Aquino’s new project and told details of the program he was doing with Juan Di Natale and Eduardo de la Puente.
Mario Pergolini went through “Listen to Offers”, the cycle led by the comedian Guille Aquino via streaming channel Blender. There he revived stories of CQCthe program that he hosted together with Edward of the Bridge and Juan di Natale between 1995 and 2008 on the screens of América, El Trece and Telefe. In that plan, he told what led them to wear the characteristic black glasses.

Aquino asked him if the rumors that they began to wear the glasses were true because they “they smoked a joint on the terrace of America and said: ‘We can’t go on the air with these eyes’”.

When asked the question, the guest replied: “How long has it been? We did that program when we were 30 years old or less… Yes, we smoked and everyone asked me: ‘Mario, how do we continue?’ because no one remembered and the Caiga Quien Caiga that I did was never scripted. I did have a routine, but not even I knew what we were going to talk about on the air. The three of us came from the radio, so it was easy to do it that way”.
“We started wearing glasses and everyone was like, ‘We’ve got Caiga’s glasses.’ But they were our glasses! We didn’t even have a brand, until later we did. But that joke remained. ‘What’s next?’, they asked me. ‘What a good question, I have no idea’, I would answer them”, laughed Pergolini.

The difficult moments and the departure of Mario Pergolini from CQC
In the talk, Pergolini also reviewed his career as a driver but also his journey as a media businessman and said that he experienced “rough things” during his time at CQC. “They entered my house pointing a revolver at my old lady. My son Tomás would be nine months old at that time.. I remember that when that happened there was a Minister of the Interior who we beat too much in the first CQC, and I told him: ‘Hey, crazy, this happened to me’, and he replied: ‘Did you see? Like you said the other day, we’re always late…’. I would have been 29, 30 years old, I was a kid. Although I had a lot of experience in Rock & Pop, that was heavy. Then they sent us to AFIP, it was seriously complicated, ”he said.
He also told what led him to decide to leave the program after the 2008 season, which was broadcast on Telefe at that time. “One day we made a very silly joke about someone tripping. We laughed at a guy who fell, and I said, ‘We can’t do this, I don’t want to do this.. Why do I have to keep doing a show for 15 years just because it works?” she revealed.
