James Wilkie Broderick (20), son of the actor couple Sarah Jessica Parker (58) and Matthew Broderick (61), reports on his experiences watching the “Sex and the City” spin-off “And Just Like That…”. In he explains: “I tried to watch the new series and I liked it, but then I felt strange because I didn’t watch the original.”

People often ask him if he doesn’t feel uncomfortable seeing his mother as Carrie Bradshaw in bolder scenes, but it’s no big deal to him. He’s just missing the entire backstory. “It felt a bit strange, the newer one [Serie] to watch”, without having seen the old episodes, he confirms again.
“I guess it’s kind of obvious why I didn’t watch the original series as a kid,” he adds, laughing. The successful format “Sex and the City” ran for six seasons between 1998 and 2004, Sarah Jessica Parker’s son was not born until 2002.
In Germany, the new season of “And Just Like That…” can be seen on Sky and the Wow streaming service from June 22nd. The other episodes always appear on Thursdays. In the US, the second season will be shown on the Max streaming service.
