Trooping the Colour: Prince Louis steals from King Charles III. the show

For the first time since his accession to the throne, King Charles III. honored with the “Trooping the Color” birthday parade on Saturday. The procession of 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 members of military bands through central London began at 10 a.m. local time. Tens of thousands had gathered along the route to take a look at the spectacle and the royals attending.

The focus was on King Charles III, who was the first monarch to take part in the parade on horseback since 1986. The late Queen had always followed the ceremony in the carriage for the past few years. This time Queen Camilla, Princess Kate and the three young royals George, Charlotte and Louis were sitting in it. Once again it was the five-year-old who drew a lot of attention with his grimaces and gestures – during the parade and later on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
