Mendoza authorities highlighted today the “excellent” extra-long weekend that the province is experiencing in terms of tourism, with an average of 84% occupancy of the 45,000 hotel beds.

“The numbers during these months were excellent, the previous long weekend was incredible and this one is very promising,” the director of Tourism of San Rafael, Javier Muñoz, told local radio in the last few hours.

From the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Mendoza they stipulated that the number of visitors can be modified at the end of the holiday, in which it is expected that each tourist has an average daily expense close to $13,000, according to data from the Tourist Observatory of the province.
In this scenario and regarding the offer available to the town located in the southern province, Muñoz pointed out: “We are very happy and expectations are high, we are waiting for another cold front so that there will be more snowfall so that in the next few days tourists can enjoy the mountains and the snow”.
From the tourism portfolio of the province they have a projection of about 60 thousand visitors for this long weekend that will visit and enjoy the offer of activities available to the city of Mendoza and the towns that make up Greater Mendoza and the southern province .
Authorities of the Cristo Redentor Intentional Pass, which connects the province with Chile by national route 7, is enabled for all types of vehicles with winter hours, that is, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and drivers are recommended to check the weather at the area before embarking on the trip.
The Mendoza Climatic Contingencies Directorate, in its extended forecast for the remainder of the weekend, indicates for this Saturday somewhat cloudy skies, light northeasterly winds with a maximum temperature of 14°C and for partly cloudy Sunday, little change temperature with a minimum of 4°C and a maximum of 14°C.
