From May 26 to June 18, old photographs, stories and historical testimonies will be received as a way to celebrate visitors and make visible their stories throughout the hundred years of this incredible architectural work.

Those photos that tell experiences around this Buenos Aires icon, the stories and characters that intertwined in some way and that constitute this particular essence of our first “Latin skyscraper” will be especially valued.


“We are living in a historic moment and the objective of this exhibition is to offer a possible photographic record that summarizes and illustrates our way of feeling the Barolo and how hundreds of stories intertwined in this extraordinary space. The Barolo is very much ours, it belongs to the porteños and of all Argentines”, said Micah and Tomás Thärigen, directors of the Foundation.
“From the Los Amigos del Palacio Barolo Foundation, we are committed to generating these meeting spaces to make visible and share the history of this incredible architectural work, which is the very history of many visitors. In this way, we try to ensure that each one can make this historical heritage their own. so important, that it belongs to everyone”.

“This cycle is the possibility of interacting with a large community that has followed each of the building’s advances until returning it to its original majesty” they assured Thomas and Micah Thärigenwho preside over the Foundation that is in charge of organizing these celebrations.
In his words, “the Barolo has positioned itself as a Buenos Aires icon thanks to the presence and loyal support of both visitors and neighbors and, of course, the consortium members, who support cultural events, ensuring that the Palace remains valid over time.” For this reason, they assured, this exhibition celebrates each visitor with their story.
The FAPB will select and expose, in this way, the incredible centenary journey of the Barolo through the images and anecdotes of those who toured this fascinating building.
He Barolo Palace is one of the most beautiful buildings in the City of Buenos Aires. The imposing construction is a delight to behold and is surrounded by incredible stories. The 100 years of the most emblematic building of the City of Buenos Aires are fulfilled on July 7 and it will become a moment that will undoubtedly be remembered and transmitted by generations to which personalities from different fields are already joining.
