This was announced by the State Criminal Police Office. The theft of the work of art must therefore have occurred between Monday and Friday of the past week, although the police did not provide any further information on the course of events for the time being.

The Ernst Fuchs Private Foundation has offered a prize of 5,000 euros for useful information or if the painting is returned. “Behind Veronica’s sweatcloth”, produced in mixed media on parchment, is a small-format image of the artist who died in 2015, according to museum manager Anna Maria Fuchs to APA. The co-founder of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism painted this at the tender age of 23. Anna Maria Fuchs did not want to give any information about the possible value of the painting.
