Tom Cruise celebrated the world premiere of his new “Mission Impossible” film in Rome on Monday. A kiss was given to a co-star.
Tom Cruise (60) returns as Agent Ethan Hunt after 2018’s “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” – for the two-part finale of the “Mission: Impossible” film series. “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” celebrated its world premiere in Rome on Monday evening (June 19). For the occasion, Cruise showed up with his co-stars at the famous Spanish Steps.
Much of the film was shot in Italy’s capital. “I want to thank Rome and the city,” Cruise said in his speech. “Also we were allowed to film in Venice, which was extraordinary in very difficult times in this country. I dreamed of coming here and sharing it with all of you.” Ever since he was a child, his goal has been “to make films and to travel. And not just to be a tourist, but to be able to work in this world and understand the culture,” Cruise said.
Through his films, he was able to achieve this “because everyone here has allowed me to entertain you. It’s a privilege I’ve never taken for granted. Entertaining you is my passion and I will always stand for great cinema and such an experience for all fight.”
On the Spanish Steps, which according to “Variety” Cruise served for the film as the scene of a wild chase in a yellow vintage Fiat 500, the Hollywood star posed with director Christopher McQuarrie (54) and his co-stars for the cheering fans and photographers . Among those present were Simon Pegg (53), Esai Morales (60), Rebecca Ferguson (39), Vanessa Kirby (35), Hayley Atwell (41), Pom Klementieff (37), Shea Whigham (54) and Greg Tarzan Davis (29). Cruise was particularly harmonious with Ilsa Faust actress Rebecca Ferguson and kissed her on the cheek.

In “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One”, Hunt faces a new adversary named Gabriel (Esai Morales) and must save nothing less than the entire planet. The film hits theaters on July 13th. “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two” is scheduled to hit theaters in June 2024, ending the long-running spy film franchise.
