Adele is buying Sylvester Stallone’s mansion – on one condition

Adele is the new owner of Sylvester Stallone’s imposing Hollywood mansion. However, one detail was crucial to her signing the contract.

In the expensive neighborhoods of Los Angeles, the opulent mansions change hands from time to time – and often both various previous owners and new residents are big names from the entertainment industry. Normal people simply couldn’t afford the gigantic complexes, and rich people who have nothing to do with Hollywood generally prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of the Californian metropolis. That’s how actors, artists, comedians and filmmakers stay.

The statue by the pool

Cinema legend Sylvester Stallone, known for the cult series “Rambo” and “Rocky”, also owned a luxurious house here. Over 14,000 square feet of land in the hills of Beverly Hills with the best views of the city. He wanted to get rid of that, however, because he now wants to live primarily in Florida with his wife (although he keeps a “smaller” luxury mansion in Los Angeles as a second home). For such gigantic and correspondingly expensive real estate, the circle of buyers is logically limited, and so it took almost a year to find someone. And that was: Adele.

Adele wants to keep “Rocky” statue

The singer (“Hello”) even did something similar to a “bargain”: Instead of the originally planned 80 million US dollars, she only had to pay 58 million, since there were apparently no other interested parties. When Sylvester Stallone personally showed her the building, he tells The Wall Street Journal, the 35-year-old asked him if he could overlook the imposing statue of himself playing Rocky Balboa, which stands at the edge of the pool the city, stood, wanted to keep. “Yes, I would like to,” the actor replied. “But she said, ‘Then we’re not going to do business here. That would be a deal breaker.'” He reports: “She wanted the statue!”

How seriously Adele meant that is not clear from the report. One thing is clear: leaving the statue behind was probably not the hardest loss for Stallone – he had a second one that stood in his previous cigar parlor. So he left the imposing Rocky to the Briton. Everything else seems to have impressed Adele less: she is currently having the entire villa gutted and renovated – nothing should remain of the old interior. However, Stallone appears to be aware of the singer’s design plans and approves: “I like what she’s doing there.”
