Mick Jagger is reportedly engaged to Melanie Hamrick, 44 years his junior. It would be his third engagement.
Mick Jagger turns 80 on July 26. But he is said to have celebrated before – his third engagement. As the British “Mirror” reported, the musician wants to step in front of the altar again. After nine years of relationship, he is said to have proposed to former ballet dancer Melanie Hamrick (35). The couple have a six-year-old son.
She is said to have leaked the love news
According to the report, Hamrick opened up about the engagement while visiting the American Ballet Theater in New York on June 22. A source is quoted by The Mirror as saying: “She has made it very clear that her ring is an engagement ring and she is now his fiancee. Her family also understand that they are engaged and are thrilled.”
Only recently she had downplayed her eye-catching diamond ring and simply referred to it as a “promise ring”.
He has eight children by five women
Does the Rolling Stones frontman really want to tie the knot again? It would suit his wild personal life. Mick Jagger has eight children by five women.
His first daughter Karis (52) with singer Marsha Hunt (77) was born in 1970 – 17 years before his current partner was born. From 1971 to 1978 he was married to Bianca Jagger (78), with whom he has a daughter. Model Jerry Hall (67) was then by his side for more than 20 years, the couple have four children and married in an unofficial ceremony in Bali in 1990. Hall dumped him in 1999 after she learned from the newspaper that he had cheated on her with model Luciana Gimenez, 53, and fathered a son.
In 2016, Jagger’s youngest child, son Deveraux, was born to Melanie Hamrick. Unlike him, she has never been married before, nor does she have children from previous relationships.
