This season is indeed very much “starting over” as we finally get to see Shaun happily engaged to his longtime crush, Lea Dilallo (played by Paige Spara). Will the long-awaited moment of the wedding arrive now? Yes, although for this we will have to wait for several chapters and emotions that will not spare surprises.
Among them, the irruption of Salen Morrison (played by Rachel Bay Jones), a new CEO and owner of the famous St. Bonaventure hospital. Determined to run that center with an iron fist (and with few qualms), Morrison will face off with virtually the entire medical staff, including of course, Shaun and his team of surgeons.

EMPATHY UNDER THREAT
After the arrest of Marco Sardoni (Raffaele Esposito), there is a new boss in the department, the attractive and strict Cecilia Tedeschi (Alice Arcuri), who will be determined to transform the internal medicine department into a surveillance garrison against future pandemics. While she will understand her colleague’s concerns, Fanti will try to show her how such an approach, her complete disbelief in her close relationship with the patient, threatens to dehumanize medicine. In this paradigm fight, the “Doc” will have to face a difficult path of medical and psychological tests that allow him to recover the true role of his boss.
