Jackie Miller James and her husband had been looking forward to their baby and life as a small family. But in the 39th week of pregnancy, one week before the due date, the influencer (almost 90,000 followers on Instagram) burst with anyeurism, resulting in severe cerebral hemorrhage. James had to be put into an induced coma.
The doctors brought the child into the world by caesarean section – a healthy girl. But her mother continued to fight for her life. “She deserves to be a mother. Her daughter needs to know her,” their sisters wrote on Instagram. But for weeks it was unclear when the beauty and lifestyle influencer would wake up again – or if at all. But now there was good news: James has woken up from the coma and is finally allowed to meet her daughter, the family said on the Instagram account.
Influencer is better again
“Jackie has recently been reunited with her baby and spends much of the day in the hospital with her entire family,” the statement said. She is currently in a neurological clinic, where various tests are being carried out and the 35-year-old is to be made fit for everyday life again. Doctors would state “at this stage in her recovery, Jackie is exceeding expectations and making progress every day,” the family reported.
The newborn girl is “a constant source of light” for her and her husband and the whole family. The family particularly thanked all followers and other supporters – a fundraising campaign had been launched in order to be able to cover the costs of the treatment. So far, significantly more than 300,000 US dollars have been raised. Since the influencer’s path of recovery is not yet complete, further donations are needed.
Jackie Miller James will now take over the content on her Instagram page again, the family said. The influencer has not yet posted a current photo – at the moment she is probably still enjoying the time with her husband and baby and is concentrating on getting completely healthy again.
