Entertainer Thomas Gottschalk was greeted with huge cheers by the audience in Nuremberg at his “Wetten dass ..?” Comeback.
After a ten-year break, he hosted the ZDF cult show for the first time. “I’m really looking forward to the evening, and I’m also taking my time,” said Gottschalk as he sat down on the famous couch. The 2,500 spectators in the exhibition hall welcomed the 71-year-old with standing applause and “Oh, how is that beautiful” singing.

Shortly before the show began, Gottschalk looked into the hall, joked with the audience and took a few selfies. “I am 3G – vaccinated, tested and made up,” he said and promised: “The show is of a certain basic friendliness.”
In a gold patterned jacket and with presenter Michelle Hunziker at his side, Gottschalk started the show in a good mood. Numerous prominent sponsors were expected. The ABBA stars Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, Schlager Queen Helene Fischer and rocker Udo Lindenberg are on the guest list.
