Speaking to The Times along with his contributors Christopher McQuarrie and Simon Pegg andin the new movie Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part OneCruise denied the rumor and Pegg played down his co-star’s supposed intensity.
When asked to share the “weirdest” rumor he’s ever heard about himself, Cruise said he was confused by the rumor that people were “not allowed to look me in the eye” during filming.
Pegg added of Cruise: “I’ve been able to work my way through all of the weird mythology that surrounds him. “On the one hand, it’s Tom Cruise, this enigmatic movie star that everyone wants to meet. And on the other, he’s just a boy. I like being normal with him.”
Tom Cruise Wants To Keep Making Mission: Impossible Movies Until He’s 80
Prior to the film’s release, Cruise has said that he plans to continue making Mission: Impossible movies when he is 80 years old.
“Harrison Ford is a legend; I hope to keep going. I have 20 years to catch up,” Cruise told The Sydney Morning Herald at the film’s Australian premiere, referring to the legendary actor’s role in Indiana Jones and The Dial Of Destiny. “I hope to continue making Mission: Impossible movies until I’m his age”.
