A Noel Gallagher concert in the United States is evacuated due to a bomb threat

A bomb threat stopped the concert of Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on July 8. Fans were ordered to evacuate the venue immediately after the first two opening acts of Metric and garbageThey will finish their presentations.

Before Gallagher stepped foot on stage, the venue ordered concertgoers to leave the premises in response to a bomb threat. The order was shared on the giant screens of the place that read: “At this time, we will have to evacuate the place. We ask you to go calmly to the nearest exit. Follow the instructions of staff and police officers. For everyone’s safety, please do not rush or push. Thanks for your cooperation.”

The New York State Park Police said the move was taken “out of an abundance of caution” and confirmed that the event “was adjourned at 9:40 p.m. and concertgoers evacuated without incident. The dog unit completed a sweep of the venue after the crowd left, with negative results. “This incident is under investigation. This case will be investigated as making a terrorist threat, a class D felony.”.

There have been no further updates on where or when the bomb threat was made at the location. Gallagher did not mention what happened in his networks, but garbage, who was able to act before the evacuation, tweeted: “We have no idea what happened tonight. We were all evacuated and we were worried about everyone! Sorry, we don’t have real information. We’ve just been told there was an emergency evacuation!”.

Both Garbage and Metric will support the remainder of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds tour with their next stop being July 13 in Columbia, Maryland. The North American tour will close on July 15 in Boston, Massachusetts.
