The National Chamber of Criminal and Correctional Cassation gave rise to the request of the prosecution.
The prosecutor Sandro Abraldesin charge of Prosecutor No. 29 before the Criminal and Correctional Oral Courts, yesterday raised the request to order the “provisional disqualification” for the practice of medicine and “commerce in the aesthetic and cosmetic field”, to the surgeon Aníbal Lotocki, responsible for causing serious injuries to Silvina Luna -who is fighting for his life in the Italian Hospital, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Almagro- and more patients. The National Chamber of Criminal and Correctional Cassation gave rise to the request.
Lotocki was sentenced in February 2022 by the Oral and Correctional Court 28 of the City of Buenos Aires to four years in prison and five years of disqualification from practicing medicine for the “serious injuries” he caused Luna, Gabriela Trenchi, Stefanía Xipolitakis and Pamela Sosa. However, in that instance the Judge Carlos Rengel Miratno He had ruled on the measure that would interrupt his enrollment, and he continued working.

On the part of Pamela Sosa’s defense, “the decision adopted by the previous court was challenged” and “the precautionary measure consisting of the disqualification to continue practicing medicine was imposed, until the conviction -eventually- becomes final”.
Given this, the prosecution considered that “it is appropriate and deserves to be decreed immediately by the Judges of the Chamber, in view of the latent danger that hangs over the health of those who, to this day, undergo medical interventions. Lotocki”.
