Exceptional voice Mariah Carey wrote down her memoir. The autobiography is now also available in German. The book was a bestseller in the United States.
With a fairytale career, Mariah Carey worked her way up from a shattered background to become one of the most successful musicians of the past decades – and wrote down her experiences together with a journalist.
Around a year after the original edition of “The Meaning of Mariah Carey”, the music diva’s autobiography was also published in German on Tuesday under the title “Ganz ich Selbst” in Heyne-Verlag.
“These memoirs are a collection of moments with meaning, the moments that tell my story most precisely as I see it,” writes Carey, who has sold around 200 million albums and with songs like “Hero”, “Without You” or the Christmas classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You” was successful worldwide. The singer with the exceptional voice reaching over five octaves is also considered a “notorious diva”, as the British “Guardian” once wrote. The autobiography, which became a bestseller in the United States, primarily focuses on Carey’s childhood and the beginnings of her career.
