Great concern for Ty Pennington: The “The House Construction Command” presenter was treated in an intensive care unit during the week for shortness of breath.
American TV star Tygert Burton “Ty” Pennington (58) was treated in an intensive care unit for a throat abscess. For a picture from the bedside of a clinic in Colorado, he wrote that his airway was so blocked that he had to be intubated.
Just two days earlier, Pennington attended the “Barbie” premiere in Los Angeles: “The next thing I know, I was intubated and flown to the intensive care unit in Denver,” writes the moderator. He was operated on Wednesday and has now been transferred to a normal ward. He added the hashtag #justhappytobehere to his post, which translates to “Just happy to be here”.
Pennington show runs in Germany on DMAX
Pennington is best known for his role as a carpenter on the TLC reality show Trading Spaces. Since then, he has regularly shown his craftsmanship in various formats. In addition to his TV work, Pennington is also known as a successful author of DIY guides. In Germany, his show “Das Hausbau-Kommando” (originally “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”) runs on DMAX.
