Rammstein: New allegations from two other women

The Rammstein concerts in Berlin are accompanied by protests – and by new allegations. Two women report alleged incidents.

Shortly before the last of the three Rammstein concerts in Berlin takes place on Tuesday (July 18), new allegations against the band became public. Two other women describe alleged sexual assaults. This time, the focus is not only on frontman Till Lindemann (60), but also on keyboarder Christian Lorenz (56), known as “Flake”.

One of the women, who lets herself be called Jasmin Stevens in the reporting, reports on incidents that are said to have happened more than 20 years ago. At the age of 17, she met Lindemann personally at an autograph session, and then she and an acquaintance met Lindemann in a bar in Berlin. Flake was also added there. Then she went to a country house in Brandenburg with the two older musicians without her company.

Later she went to bed heavily intoxicated. Flake lay down next to her and they had sex. Because of her condition, she didn’t stop him. She was out of her mind and didn’t want to have sex. She still suffers from the experiences of that time, which is why she was in therapy.

Flake denies the allegations about his lawyers

According to the research of the “Süddeutsche Zeitung”, Stevens assured the statement for submission to the court in lieu of an oath. In addition to her, other people from her environment had sworn that she had repeatedly told about the alleged assault. Christian Lorenz alias Flake has rejected the allegations according to “SZ” and “NDR” through his lawyers. It is the presumption of innocence.

Lorenz and Schneider’s lawyers also reject the allegations of another woman who reports on an experience from 1996 involving Lindemann, Flake and drummer Christoph Schneider (57). The woman, who lets herself be called Sybille Herder, reports that at the age of 22 she accompanied the Rammstein members to their hotel after a concert to drink and celebrate there. She lost consciousness and woke up naked next to Flake on the floor the next morning with severe abdominal pain. However, she cannot remember what exactly happened that night.

So far no complaint has been filed

According to the current research, neither of the two women have so far filed a complaint. If the incidents had actually happened in 1996 and 2002, they could still be criminally relevant for the current investigations against Rammstein.

Since May, several women have accused Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann of sexual assault. The discussion was triggered by Northern Ireland’s Shelby Lynn, who had publicly accused herself of being drugged on the sidelines of a Rammstein concert in Vilnius.

Regarding the allegations, the band said through their lawyers that the allegations made by the women were “invariably untrue”. At the beginning of June, the band published a statement on their Instagram account, which said: “The allegations hit us all very hard and we take them extremely seriously.” The group condemns “any kind of abuse”. They asked not to prejudice either those “who made allegations” or the band.

The Rammstein concerts in Berlin are currently accompanied by protests. The band will play the last of a total of three sold-out concerts at Berlin’s Olympiastadion on Tuesday (July 18).
