The heat in southern France is bothering her: the film icon Brigitte Bardot had to be supplied with oxygen because of breathing problems.
Concern for the former acting icon Brigitte Bardot (88): Rescue workers rushed to her home in Saint-Tropez on Wednesday (July 19) because she was suffering from breathing difficulties. The French woman had to be given oxygen and examined at a health center.
“These high temperatures are very hard for them”
Her husband Bernard d’Ormale (82) described the incident to “Var-matin”: “It was around 9 a.m. when Brigitte had trouble breathing.” Her breathing was stronger than usual, “but she did not lose consciousness”. The ambulance had initially gone to the wrong address, which is why it was only possible to supply oxygen to her too late. A visit to the Gassin health center was also necessary for the examination. He went on to say, “Her red blood cell count is somewhat low and she will benefit from specific treatment.” Above all, the high temperatures are responsible for the problems: “Like all people over a certain age, she can no longer stand the heat. These high temperatures are very hard for her and she avoids movements as much as possible, even over a few meters.”
The BB was a sex symbol
Brigitte Bardot became an international sex symbol after playing a sexually liberated young woman in the 1956 film Und immer lures the woman. She was only called “BB” and was considered one of the most desirable women in the world. From 1966 to 1969 she was married to Gunter Sachs (1932-2011), the couple shaped the jet set of the 1960s. In 1973 she ended her career as a film actress and became involved in animal welfare.
