Ronan Keating has said goodbye to his brother in an emotional service. He sang the song “This Is Your Song”.
Irish singer Ronan Keating (46) said goodbye to his late brother Ciaran on July 20, who died in a tragic car accident a few days ago. Not only was Keating one of the pallbearers, he also sang for his brother at the funeral service.

The Irishman chose ‘This Is Your Song’ to perform towards the end of the funeral service. “I should [das Lied] We won’t sing under these circumstances, but we will,” Keating said. Along with other mourners, Keating also carried his older brother’s coffin to St Patrick’s Church in Louisburgh, Ireland, where the funeral service was held. Among other things, he told the mourners that Ciaran’s children had made their father “very proud”.
According to British media reports, Ciaran Keating died in an accident last Saturday afternoon. Ciaran and his wife Ann Marie were on their way to their son Ruairi’s soccer game when the accident happened. The car they were in collided with another vehicle near the town of Swinford. The driver of the second car was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Another passenger and Ann Marie were treated with non-life-threatening injuries.
