The Works Plan established by Minturdep -which also involves the Reservoir Tourist Unit, in Córdoba- is planned in stages and was developed in recent months, with an investment so far exceeding 1,000 million pesos, considered ” historical “.
The hotel where the first tourists stayed is completely renovated, with repaired ceilings, elevators for people with reduced mobility, new electrical installation, complete interior and exterior painting, adapted toilets and renewed carpentry, among other improvements.
After the arrival of the guests, the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Matías Lammens, said that “it is an enormous satisfaction to receive tourists again in Chapadmalal.”
“We are carrying out emblematic works to value these icons of social tourism in our country and we will continue working so that more and more Argentines can enjoy the right to vacation in these historic spaces,” he added.
During this season, the Chapadmalal Tourist Unit will contribute some 1,600 beds to the hotel capacity of the General Pueyrredón district, whose head is Mar del Plata.
The Minturdep is in charge of the management of the Units and guarantees accessible rates, with priority for vulnerable sectors, in units with gastronomy and recreation services and facilities for sports and cultural activities.
Registration to enjoy social tourism in the Chapadmalal and Embalse units is available on the site argentina.gob.ar/turismoydeportes/social.
