The Av. de Mayobetween Chacabuco and Bolivarwill host this great celebration that will feature 80 booths and this time it will have as its motto “Colombia, the country of birds”. To represent it, each one of the stalls will carry the photo of a native bird of the country.
There will be a huge variety of typical dishes from the different Colombian regions to try: arepasempanadas, wrapped, stuffed potato, soups, tamales with rice and three meats (pork, chicken and beef), bandeja paisa (rice, red beans/beans, arepa, plantain and chorizo). You can also find traditional Colombian bakery: almojábana (a sweet roll filled with cheese), cakes, cheese fritters and desserts like rice puddinghe merengón (meringue with cream and fruits), guava candy, cocadas (coconut sugar bites), and many more dishes.
As it could not be otherwise, the protagonist of the day will be the coffeestar product that characterizes this country and can be enjoyed in hot options and frappuccinos. In addition there will be fruit smoothies As the passion fruit, mango, Blackberry and guava.
On stage, the music and the dance they will be protagonists Joy Dance and Music and the salsa school mixed artare some of the groups that will display different styles of colombian dances on stage and will teach typical steps to the audience present.

The day will feature all Colombian musical styles: llanera, mountain range (the Messengers, Cani and Caracolí) and vallenato of the coast. mangoviche will cheer you up with music from the Pacific, while the salsa orchestra taro will close the event with Bambabanda. Several of the musical groups that will be present play the Treblea 12-string instrument that is considered the national instrument of Colombia.
Who will be in charge of the event is the General Directorate of Collectivities of the Undersecretary of Human Rights and Cultural Pluralism together with the Association of Colombian Women in Argentina (AMCA).
“This is the fruit of so many years of working together with the community. Launch of the first federal dance contest for communities
with a view to Immigrant Daywhich commemorates the 4th of Septemberthe City throw the first Federal Contest of Collectivitieswhich consists of a competition between different groups of dance. The winners will be rewarded with a trip to the Citywith accommodation included, to be a central part of the celebrations of the Community Festivalwhere they can display all their skills.
The contest is organized by the General Directorate of Collectivities of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires with the aim of promoting through music and the typical dances the tradition and cultural identity of the collectivities that live throughout the country.
Registration is online, for which you need to complete the data and send a video that shows the performance. There is time until July 31st and can be groups composed of between 2 and 12 members over 18 years old. A jury will select the 5 winning groups from all over the countrythe day friday august 4who will appear at the Community Festival he sunday september 10 in the Av. de Mayo.
