In an emotional video on Instagram, Jamie Foxx reports on his hospital stay: he went through hell.
Jamie Foxx (55) spoke for the first time about his hospital stay. he explains to his followers: “I went through something I thought I would never experience.”
Foxx says he knows a lot of people have been waiting for news about his condition, but “I just didn’t want you to see me like that, to be honest.” He wants to be seen laughing, having fun, cracking jokes, making a movie or a TV show – “not that you see me with tubes coming out of me,” said the actor, and then worried “whether I’ll survive it.”
In the emotional video, he also reports that his sister Deidra Dixon and daughter Corinne (29) saved his life. His family would have protected him by not letting anything out.

Foxx is only partially addressing the rumors about his health. He is neither blind nor paralyzed as some would speculate. He does not share any more information. “I went through hell and back.” He goes on to say that his road to recovery has also had some bumps.
Foxx also tearfully explains the decision to upload the video. He won’t do a second take (without tears): “It’s the way it is. If you see me on the street now and I burst into tears every now and then it’s because it’s been hard man. I’ve been sick man. But I’m back on my feet now so you’ll see me out there.”

The Hollywood star was admitted to a Georgia hospital on April 12. At the time, his eldest daughter Corinne announced that there had been a “medical complication”. Since then, there has been much speculation about the health of the “Ray” actor. In mid-May, his daughter announced that her father had left the hospital “weeks ago” and was on the mend.
