Robbie Williams: Glamorous appearance on the Alm

In December, Robbie Williams will open the ski opening in Schladming. At the press conference he brought glamor to the Alm.

For winter sports fans, the annual ski opening in Schladming, Austria, at the foot of the Planai ski mountain is an absolute highlight. It has been a tradition there for years to open the ski season in the local Planai stadium with top-class music acts. In 2007, for example, US singer Pink made a guest appearance in the idyllic Styrian community, followed by artists such as Kid Rock (52), David Guetta (55), Natalia Kills (36) and Toten Hosen.

It has been clear since last Sunday that at this year’s ski opening on December 7th and 8th, 2023, Robbie Williams (49), one of the greatest show legends of the present, will be honored. In order to celebrate the celebrity coup appropriately, the organizers of the opening spectacle spared no effort or expense last Sunday to duly welcome the international superstar at a press conference on the Reiteralm near Schladming.

Glamor landing with “Robbie Williams” helicopter

There, the former Take That star landed in a helicopter branded with his name and the Ski Opening logo to be welcomed by event organizers and the managers of the Schladming 4-mountain ski area. In view of the summer temperatures, Williams opted for an outfit consisting of a green two-piece suit with short trousers and a pair of brown slippers for his appearance, which, in combination with stylish sunglasses, exuded idiosyncratic glamour. For a photo session, he willingly wore a traditional Styrian jacket, which he took off again for the actual press conference.

Free time after concert cancellation in Carinthia

The famous entertainer was not only in the region for the press event. A concert at Hochosterwitz Castle in Carinthia was also planned two days earlier, but had to be canceled at short notice due to the weather. Williams used the unexpected free time to play tennis and golf. He also ate a schnitzel every day.

Confident appearance despite “body dysmorphic disorder”

After Robbie Williams made headlines in the past few days with statements about his inner struggle with his external appearance and reported on his body dysmorphic disorder, he made an amazingly glamorous and self-confident appearance at his press event on the Alm. There he did not talk about psychological problems, but above all about the impressive landscape in which he is currently. “Really good, really picturesque,” he enthused, according to the Austrian media. “I don’t think the rest of the world knows how beautiful Austria really is.”
