About ten years ago, banjos, mandolins and fiddles arrived for a triumphant return of folk sounds, and well at the forefront of this moment was The Lumineers, the American band that made enormous contributions to indie-folk. The group landed in Argentina for the first time back in 2014 and gave two memorable shows in Niceto, and since then fans have been eagerly awaiting a new opportunity to see them live and listen to all the new material. The wait is about to end: the band formed in Denver confirmed that it returns to Argentina on November 1 to give a show at the Obras Stadiumproduced by DF Entertainment and Live Nation.

Brightside, the new album by The Lumineers
Since their fourth album, Brightside, came out last year, the band formed by Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites is on tour in several European countries and cities in the United States. This work is another forceful demonstration of the storytelling that characterizes Schultz and Fraites, with songs like “Brightside”, which we could translate as “positive side” or “luminous side” and is a poetic and rock reflection on romance, and “Where we are”, a true hopeful anthem.
Described by critics as “an ode to love”, the album, produced by Simone Felice and David Baron, reached the top ten in the United States and Canada, and the title track reached number 1 on Billboard’s Alternative National Airplay and Adult Alternative Airplay charts, marking the sixth time the band has led the latter chart in less than 10 years. Last year’s tour sold more than 750,000 tickets on five continents, including two sold-out stadium shows at Coors Field in Denver and Wrigley Field in Chicago.
