Chano was prosecuted for aggravated sexual abuse against Militta Bora

The singer Santiago “Chano” Moreno Charpentier He was prosecuted for aggravated sexual abuse against his colleague and ex-partner militta Bora, who reported it in 2018.

Judicial sources revealed to Noticias Argentinas that the National Criminal and Correctional Court number 60, in charge of Luis Alberto Schelgel, ordered that resolution without preventive detention for the musician, but with an embargo of 704,700 pesos.

Likewise, the Justice rejected the prescription request and Chano will continue to be prosecuted for two other episodes of violence against Bora, who was his partner.

The complaint of Militta Bora against Chano

In 2018 the singer remarked: “I was the victim of a rape and suffered physical and psychological violence on many occasions. The rape was in one of the last fights we had. He was very drugged so I locked myself in a room to wait for him to fall asleep so I could leave, because he wouldn’t let me. At one point, at dawn, he struggled with me so much that he marked all my arms.”

“Once he grabbed me by the neck and put me against the wall, accusing me of wanting to seduce his assistant. Once he tied my head with a sheet. He told me that he was going to make sure that I never worked again, and that He was unpunished because he had gotten away with the clashes. I called 911 and when the patrolman arrived he made me tell them that nothing had happened, that it was just a couple’s fight,” added the victim.

In the ruling, the magistrate remarked that “what has been proven is that in the context of violence in which the link between them developed, it was Moreno Charpentier who had Bora frightened of harming her at work.”

“This, in fact, and beyond ‘the difficulties he went through to recognize the criminal nature of the events suffered’ is conclusive information to explain and understand why Bora took two years to file his complaint,” Schelgel said.

At the time the case had been closed first without even calling the artist to testify.

After, when Bora introduced herself and told details of what had happened, showed photos and offered witnesses, they closed it again because they had already decided before.

However, the Crime Chamber validated everything and the complaint was the one that led the debate to Cassation, which maintained that both the chambers and Court number 46 could no longer intervene and ordered that everything go to another court to be finally investigated.
