They are Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth in the action version. They step in when things get too dangerous for the stars. Now the stuntwoman and the stuntman got married.
They jump out of houses and fight for others so they can shine in the spotlight – stuntwomen and stuntmen. Aurélia Agel and Justin Howell are two of them. They’ve helped Hollywood greats like Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth get more action appeal. It was on one of these shoots that the doubles met and fell in love. Now Agel and Howell have married.
Charlize Theron is in a relationship with model Alex Dimitrijevic, Chris Hemsworth is married to model Elsa Pataky – and the doubles of the two are with each other. 25-year-old Agel is a big name in Hollywood when it comes to taking dangerous scenes from famous stars. Theron doubled her in “Fast and Furious 10” and “The Old Guard 2”, among others. Howell, 34, did the action scenes for Hemsworth in Thor: Love and Thunder and Extraction 2. However, the two danger seekers got to know each other during a shoot without the involvement of Theron and Hemsworth. Both Agel and Howell were in front of the camera for “Halo”, a new Paramount+ series.
Marry stunt woman and stunt man
“It’s not easy being with a stuntman, but since we’re both in the same industry, we know the challenges,” Agel said. “You understand each other and the crazy schedules.” The job comes with a lot of sacrifices. You rarely see friends and family. There is also the constant risk of injury.
Agel got into the stunt business in a roundabout way. She actually wanted to be a chef, but then changed her mind. Instead of using the wooden spoon, she preferred to swing her fists and monetize her martial arts skills. She went to a stunt school. It only took a few weeks for her to secure her first role in a film. Today she says “I’m living my best life. My job is my passion.”
The stunt guys in Toronto got married three months ago.
