As the little half-sister of supermodel Kate Moss (49), Lottie Moss (25) also started in the modeling world. But they don’t seem to have much in common. Lottie Moss has now revealed that the two women do not have a particularly close relationship.
“We just don’t agree on a lot of things”
“Me and my sister were never close,” she said in an interview. “There’s a big age difference.” She was a bridesmaid to her famous half-sister in 2011. But the two may not get along as well as many people assume. “She doesn’t have to want to be in a relationship with me,” says Lottie Moss, who has the same father as Kate Moss. “When I was younger, I couldn’t understand it. I thought, ‘Why doesn’t someone in my family want a relationship with me? I don’t understand it.'” But since then she has learned “that family is complicated”. It’s no different with a “real high-end model” in the family. “We just don’t agree on a lot of things. I love her. She’s my sister, but we’re just not that close.”

On the other hand, she has a better relationship with her half-niece. Kate’s daughter Lila (20) also works as a model. “I love Lila, she is a sweet girl.” They spent some of the lockdown together, and they got closer. “But she lives in New York now, she lives her own life. We text sometimes and I see her out and about.” But she doesn’t give her any advice for her career. “I think my sister can give her some modeling advice!”
Lottie Moss was hired by Storm Models – the same agency that discovered Kate Moss at the airport when she was 14. However, in 2021 she stopped modeling again because she felt too controlled. She also became addicted to alcohol and drugs. “I always had to be a certain type, waist size and hips. I had a personal trainer and nutrition meetings. I wasn’t allowed to do things to my hair that weren’t approved by the team. There were certain people I wasn’t allowed to go out with.” Model life didn’t make her happy; on the contrary, it downright depressed her. After all, she did rehab – “and it was exactly what I needed”.
Ready for a new love
She is now making money from OnlyFans and is currently participating in the new series Celebs Go Dating. She was last in a relationship with Australian model Daniel Steel. In May, they split just four months after the relationship became public. Now she revealed that the distance between Great Britain and Australia broke love. “He wasn’t ready to move here and I was planning to move to Los Angeles at the time and he didn’t want to move there either and I didn’t want to live in Perth.” Now she is single and “ready to mingle with people”.
