The days August 19, 20 and 21of 12 to 21in it La Rural fairground – Hall 8, Palermothey will meet more than 70 alfajorero exhibitorsincluding manufacturers from countries such as Uruguay, Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador, Spain, Paraguay, Peru, Canada and the United States.
By second year in a rowattendees will have the opportunity to meet and taste a wide variety of alfajores and more than 500 brands.

How will they choose the Best Alfajor in the World
This is a competition open to alfajore makers from all over the world, from big enterprises to craft ventures.
A panel of experts made up of industry leaders, chefs, pastry chefs, food engineers, specialists in sensory analysis and journalists will be responsible for choosing the Best Alfajor in the World and bestow medals in 19 different categories.

The samples sent by the companies will be submitted to a sensory evaluation through a blind tastingin which the jury will assign a score to over 35 sensory features established. The alfajores that obtain the maximum scores in each category will receive gold, silver or bronze medals; and the gold medal-winning alfajores will compete for the title of “Best Alfajor in the World”.
