A conspicuous vehicle is currently on the road in Linz: the pink afo-mobile from the Architekturforum Oberösterreich (afo). This is a mobile survey tool that shows alternative facades of buildings. Interested passers-by can vote directly on this: They simply press “schee” or “schiach” on the display of the afo-Mobile. However, the new construction views for selected Linz buildings do not come from architects, but were calculated by artificial intelligence (AI).
The aim of the project is to deal with the topics of architecture and AI. Because AI will also change the architecture industry. Accompanying this transformation with a critical discourse is the aim of the afo. The second episode of the “schee schiach” exhibition is currently taking place in the Architekturforum. The evaluations of the votes will also be included in the third episode, which starts on October 22nd.
