Britney Spears has announced her split from Sam Asghari with a dance video. She was “a little shocked,” she wrote.
Britney Spears (41) spoke for the first time since her split from Sam Asghari (29) became known. She wants to be as strong as possible and do her best. On August 16, various US media reported about the love off after 14 months of marriage. Sam Asghari confirmed the split a short time later on his Instagram page.

Now the singer herself has commented. she posted a long statement about a dance video. It said, “Six years is a long time to be with anyone so I’m a little bit shocked but… I’m not here to explain why because honestly it’s nobody’s business.”
She continued, “But I couldn’t take the pain anymore, honestly. In a kind of telepathic way, I’ve received so many heart-melting messages from friends, and I thank you.” She’s been playing “strongly for far too long”. Her Instagram page “may seem perfect, but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that”.
She also said: “I would like to show my emotions and tears, how I really feel, but for some reason I always had to hide my weaknesses. If I hadn’t been my father’s strong soldier, I would have been sent away to be taken away from to be treated by doctors.” But that’s when she needed her family the most. But: “You shall be loved unconditionally … not only under conditions”. She ended by saying, “So I’m going to be as strong as I can and do my best. And I’m actually doing it damn well.”
The singer focus on work. Her autobiography “The Woman in Me” has been announced for October 24th, and further music is also planned. “Ideally, she would like to do a new record soon and maybe come out with a powerful song for the book release,” a source said.

Before Spears’ statement, her estranged husband had already reported on Instagram and wrote: “We will hold on to the love and respect we have for one another and I always wish her the best. He filed for divorce because of “irreconcilable differences.” The couple, who have been together since 2016, only got married in June 2022.
It is the third marriage for the singer: in 2004 she was married to her childhood friend Jason Alexander (41) for 55 hours and from 2004 to 2007 to Kevin Federline (45), with whom she had her sons Sean Preston (17) and Jayden James (16) has.
