The heavy rain did not stop in front of the musician’s house in London. Brian May shows on Instagram what it looks like now, flooded with sewage.
The guitarist of the band Queen, Brian May, fell victim to floods in the recent heavy rain in London. The 73-year-old showed the consequences of the storm in his house in the Kensington district on Instagram on Tuesday.
“The whole ground floor was flooded with sewage that covered our carpets, rugs and all kinds of (for us) precious things with stinking mud,” May wrote. “It’s disgusting and actually quite heartbreaking. It feels like we’ve been attacked, desecrated. ” Many memorabilia from his wife Anita Dobson (72) were ruined, as well as photo albums from his childhood.

May made neighbors and the district administration jointly responsible. In recent years, against the advice of experts, numerous cellars have been expanded in the area, which is now disrupting drainage. The district council rejected the allegations.
On Monday, a thunderstorm flooded streets, underpasses and parking lots in West London. Train and subway connections in the area were still closed on Tuesday. The fire department received more than 1,300 calls about flooding. Some parts of the British capital fell as much as usual in a month, the BBC reported.
