Pietro Lombardi publicly criticizes Julian Engels and finds interesting reasons for it

Pietro Lombardi gives Alessio’s patchwork dad Julian Engels a lecture on Instagram. He teaches him in seven stories and never tires of saying he doesn’t want a public argument, before uploading the next story.

In families, especially in blended families, there is often friction. Do you have to do this publicly on social media? Pietro Lombardi thinks no – but does it anyway. The new husband of his ex-wife Sarah Engels published a post about disturbed night’s sleep by the children, which offended the singer. He lets his son Alessio’s “foster father” feel it on Instagram.

Julian Engels wrote in his story: “… Mom and Dad are a bit tired today – the big one couldn’t sleep and was scared because he saw a creepy video at the weekend and was awake like 100 times and the little one is just direct stayed awake and didn’t want to sleep anymore either…” For many, this is an excerpt of normal family life, for Lombardi a personal attack, after all, his son Alessio was at home with him and his fiancé Laura Maria Rypa at the weekend.

Out of his car, the singer films a statement about Julian Engels’ post, which has already been deleted. He begins his Instagram story with “Actually, I don’t feel like talking about it, unfortunately I have to, but I didn’t want to, but it’s about this post here…”

In his second story slide, he then speaks to Sarah and Julian Engels with the words “…let’s assume Alessio watched something scary with us, let’s assume a horror film, you/her, why don’t you call… ” at. The singer goes on to say that he would have expected a call from the family asking if Alessio had seen anything sinister in the Lombardi home. Then he publicly criticized Julian Engels for posting this excerpt of his night on Instagram.

Pietro Lombardi criticizes the public in order to then find reasons for his public actions

An absurd situation, after all Lombardi is doing exactly that at this moment, even in much more detail, what he does not want to accept from Engels. His conclusion on the publication of Engels: “It’s not correct – we can talk, we’re old enough.” He justifies his action by saying that people wrote to him and accused him of being irresponsible.

The 31-year-old repeatedly addresses Julian by name. But continues his Instagram story. The singer goes on to say that he asked Julian Engels in advance to delete the post. Apparently, he did not immediately comply with the request, so it was reposted and Lombardi received messages about it. “That’s why I have to say something. It’s a shame, really,” Lombardi’s justification.

“It’s not a public war and I’ll never do that,” the singer continues, but the effect is different. Next, referring to Laura Maria Rypa, the mother of his second child, he further justifies that she was messaged and called irresponsible, leaving the singer with no choice but to speak out publicly, in his opinion. From this he makes “…respect my wife as well, and don’t let such news happen”.

Lombardi writes in the fifth Instagram story: “Why did I make it public now? To show you how ridiculous it is to bring such things to Instagram and tease or otherwise. Feel how it feels when you then gets a public counterattack.” This is followed by the request to his followers not to involve children and to call them for clarification. Two more stories follow.

“Don’t let us play ping-pong now, topic is closed…” and we continue with a sixth slide. On the seventh slide, he then assumes that Engels is only going to continue because he has probably said it publicly again: “Just leave it alone…”, says Lombardi. He says he politely asked him to remove his original story and then apparently followed up with a measure: “Okay, if you don’t take it out and we get messages about it, then we’ll say something about it,” very politely and matter-of-factly, the singer emphasizes that he combined his request with apparently a kind of threat to Engels.

In the seventh slide he then insults Engels for not needing headlines, bragging: “…I play sold out arena shows…”. Now he closes the story just a few sentences later with the words: “Let’s treat each other with respect…”

His ex-wife Sarah Engels has also positioned herself. She stresses that her husband Julian’s original Instagram story was not intended to be anti-anyone or offensive in any way. She also says that the couple had already apologized to the Lombardis in the morning that Julian had “no bad intentions”.
