It’s about maintenance, school fees, custody or visiting days – the agreement between the two actors lasted many years.
Oscar winner Halle Berry (57, “Monster’s Ball”) and French actor Olivier Martinez (57) have reached an agreement almost eight years after their marriage. Berry will pay her ex-husband $8,000 a month for child support for their son Maceo (9), the Los Angeles Times and People Magazine reported, citing court documents. Accordingly, the parents share custody.
Berry is also said to pay for the French private school the boy attends in Los Angeles, as well as for medical care and therapy sessions. The agreement before a court in Los Angeles also includes precise arrangements, such as which holidays or vacations the boy spends with his father or mother, the newspaper “USA Today” reported.
Berry and Martinez announced their split in October 2015 after two years of marriage. “It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to divorce,” the couple said in a joint statement at the time.
From Berry’s relationship with Canadian model Gabriel Aubry comes the now 15-year-old daughter Nahla. After their separation in 2010, the parents were embroiled in a bitter custody battle. Berry was previously married to baseball player David Justice and musician Eric Benét. Both marriages remained childless. The actress (“Die Another Day”) is now with the US singer Van Hunt (53).
