Worry about jungle camp star Peter Althof: surgery on the shoulder

Peter Althof (68) injured his shoulder and had to be operated on last Tuesday. This was reported by the bodyguard and former professional martial artist. In a golf club near Neumarkt, he slipped and fell with his left foot on a clay spot before the first hole. “It wouldn’t have been that bad, but I fell right on a branch with my shoulder, I heard it really crack,” he said about the accident about a week ago.

A doctor then confirmed that he had torn a double ligament and that his tendons and rotator cuff were damaged. The operation took place in a clinic in Nuremberg. A day earlier, Althof had another moment of shock. During a walk with his dog, the four-legged friend wanted to follow a squirrel. The dog leash wrapped itself around Althof’s left ankle and injured him in two places – “At least the hospital stay is worthwhile,” Althof admitted bravely. He survived the surgery well, next Sunday he wants to finish filming “Macho Man III”, a sequel to the cult trash strip from the 1980s.

Althof had to fight an injury last June. He tore ligaments in his knee while gardening and falling from a ladder. After that, he had to walk on crutches and with a splint on his leg. “It could have all turned out a lot worse. I was lucky in my misfortune”, .

Peter Althof took part in the 15th season of the RTL jungle camp in 2022 and finished fifth. As a bodyguard, he made a name for himself through his customers. Among them were Michael Jackson (1958-2009) and Claudia Schiffer (52). The former European kickboxing champion also became known for his leading role in the cult film series “Macho Man”.
