Temporary visual disturbances: This is how he deals with his severe migraines

In an interview, Bushido spoke openly about his migraine attacks and explained how he deals with the disease.

Rapper Bushido (44) has been suffering from migraines for many years. Already as a teenager he had to fight against severe headaches. “I withdrew, was always at home, didn’t go with me when my friends went out,” he says.

Headaches, blurred vision, nausea and sensitivity to light

“It starts with a flickering until I can’t see anything anymore, which lasts an hour on average and then the headache comes and it’s hard,” says Bushido about the course of his migraine attacks. Then there were panic attacks. “It can happen anywhere, I’m totally knocked out at the moment, I can’t do anything anymore. That limited me a lot.” The rapper and husband of Anna-Maria Ferchichi (41) now knows better how to deal with the sudden migraine. With autogenic training he can reduce the fear before and during an attack.

The 44-year-old only takes medication when the pain is unbearable. The illness, which has accompanied him for more than 30 years, should not determine his everyday life if possible. “I’ve just accepted it now. Then I just lie down in a corner, I don’t want to restrict my life so much anymore and let family life suffer.” Nevertheless, he wanted to deal with the disease as openly as possible.

Bushido, whose real name is Anis Ferchichi, has been married to Anna-Maria Ferchichi since 2012. The couple have seven children together. Anna-Maria Ferchichi brought another son into the marriage.
