The movie is based on the book The Snow Society of Pablo Vierci. The script is written by JA Bayona, Bernat Vilaplana, Jaime Marques and Nicolás Casariego. The cast is made up of: Enzo Vogrincic Roldán, Matías Recalt, Agustín Pardella, Tomas Wolf, Diego Ariel Vegezzi, Esteban Kukuriczka, Francisco Romero, Rafael Federman, Felipe González Otaño, Agustín Della Corte, Valentino Alonso, Simón Hempe, Fernando Contigiani García, Benjamin Segura, Jeronimo Bosia.

More than ten years later, my fascination for the novel remains intact and I am happy to face the challenge that lies ahead: to tell one of the most remembered events of the 20th century, with all the complexity that implies a story that gives as much relevance to the survivors as to those who never returned from the mountain.In addition, I face it in Spanish , to which I return excited after 14 years without filming in my language, and with a team of young Uruguayan and Argentine actors with whom I am enthusiastic”.
Filming took place in Sierra Nevada (Andalusia), Montevideo (Uruguay) and in different locations in the Andes (both in Chile and Argentina) including El Valle de las Lágrimas, the real location where the story happened.
It should be remembered that this story was made into a movie in 1993 with the film They live!directed by Frank Marshall and starring ethan hawke.
