Adrian Iaiesone of the most important artists of Argentine popular music and a benchmark of national jazz, presents his solo piano proposal.
Pianist, composer, arranger, record producer, film composer, teacher. Former Director of the Buenos Aires Jazz International Festival (BAJAZZ) and Usina del Arte (CABA, Argentina), Adrian Iaies It is a benchmark of national jazz.
solo piano It is the format with which he produced several of his most remembered and recognized works years ago, such as Una modica plenitude, When the rain stopped being sacred (double disc recorded live at Café Vinilo) and Goodbye Solo Piano.
Says Adrian Iaies: The piano has not only made my life better. Much more than that: it has given him meaning. The relationship of a pianist with his instrument is one of a very powerful intimacy when the two of them are just sharing reflections, evoking moments and, at the same time, looking ahead.
And I have filled my fingers with the treasures that Monk, Bill Evans, Billy Strayhorn, Spinetta or Juan Carlos Cobiàn bequeathed to us. Probably my favorite music. Music that has allowed me to talk about myself, tell something about my life even more than playing my own compositions.
Returning to solo piano after such a long time makes me very excited”.
