US wrestler Bray Wyatt: He was only 36 years old

Shock for the wrestling world: Bray Wyatt died surprisingly at the age of only 36. He’s had heart problems for years.

Wrestling superstar Bray Wyatt has died on Thursday (August 24) aged just 36. This was announced by WWE Manager Triple H (54).

“Deceased Unexpectedly”

“I just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda, who informed us of the tragic news that our lifelong WWE family member, Windham Rotunda – aka Bray Wyatt – passed away unexpectedly today,” (formerly Twitter). He continued, “Our thoughts are with his family and we ask everyone to respect their privacy at this time.”

The exact cause of death was not disclosed, but various US media reports that he suffered a heart attack. on wrestling reporter Sean Ross Sapp (28), who claims to have received the information from the family. The athlete had struggled with heart problems for years, and his coronavirus disease earlier this year made his condition worse. He hasn’t been used by WWE since then.

Windham Rotunda comes from a wrestling family with a long tradition. Even his father, grandfather and uncles were wrestlers. In 2010, he joined the WWE mainline roster under the name Husky Harris before leaving a year later. In 2013, he rejoined the main team as leader of the Wyatt Family. He was a three-time world champion in WWE. He took a brief hiatus from August 2018 to April 2019, returning with a new character, a hybrid of Bray Wyatt and his other side, The Fiend.

Dwayne Johnson recognizes ‘unique and cool character’

Fans and fellow wrestlers took to social media to express their condolences. Actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (51) wrote on his X account: “The news of Bray Wyatt’s death breaks my heart. I have always had great respect and love for him and the Rotunda family. I loved his presence, his Promos, his ring work and his connection to the WWE Universe.” Johnson continued, “Very unique, cool and rare character that’s hard to create in our crazy world of pro wrestling.”

Bray Wyatt is survived by his partner Joseann “JoJo” Offerman, 29, to whom he became engaged in April 2022. The couple have two children. The wrestler has two more children from a previous marriage.
