Works by the artist Gabriela Strucchi that seek to reflect the struggles of women in all areas of their lives, from the private and intimate world to the social sphere by rescuing the figures of Eva Perón, Simone de Beauvoir and Violeta Parra will be exhibited from on August 23 in the Buenos Aires Legislature.

The exhibition “Mujeres en lucha” brings together nearly 30 works that reflect situations where women suffer mistreatment, gender inequality and discrimination, and evokes great artists or creators such as Lola Mora, Coco Chanel, the creator of Madres de Plaza de May Azucena Villaflor, politicians like Florentina Gómez Miranda and the feminist Salvadora Medina Onrubia, among others.

Gabriela Strucchi, who in addition to being a plastic artist is a writer, combines plastic with mosaic to achieve a collage, which combines the destruction of images and colors to generate a new image, the organizers said in a statement.

The sample will be exhibited in the Manuel Belgrano Exhibition Hall, dependent on the Department of Cultural Action, located in the basement of the Legislative Palace.

The exhibition can be visited until September 6, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Peru 160.
