For the first time since the allegations against him became known, Rammstein singer Till Lindemann has commented on the matter. However, the statement was quite short.
Till Lindemann was silent for weeks. Has not commented on the allegations leveled against him by several women. At best, he made erratic statements at concerts that could be read as a comment on the ongoing investigation. But this Tuesday is different: In the morning, the Berlin public prosecutor’s office had stopped the criminal investigation against the Rammstein singer on suspicion of committing sexual offenses. A message that Lindemann spread shortly afterwards on his Instagram account. In his Insta-Story he published a press release that reports in detail on the decision of the judiciary.
Immediately afterwards, a few personal words from the singer, who was recently criticized: “I thank everyone who waited impartially for the end of the investigation,” Lindemann said in a statement simply signed with Till.
Till Lindemann: This is how the public prosecutor’s office justifies the termination of the proceedings
Lindemann’s lawyer had previously informed that the quick termination proves “that the investigations of the public prosecutor’s office have brought to light no evidence or indications to be able to accuse my client of committing sexual offences”. The allegations simply have nothing to do with it. The lawyer complained that there had been “serious preliminary convictions” on the Internet and in the media without any basis.
The Berlin public prosecutor’s office justified the termination of the investigation against the 60-year-old singer by saying that the evaluation of the available evidence had not produced any indications that Lindemann had “performed sexual acts on women against their will”.

Phallus, fire and the eternal desire to provoke: That’s Rammstein
The authority had been investigating allegations against the musician since mid-June. Several women had raised allegations against Till Lindemann in the media, some anonymously, regarding his behavior at parties after Rammstein concerts. However, the public prosecutor’s office was unable to locate them: “So far, alleged victims have not contacted the law enforcement authorities, but only – even after the investigation proceedings became known – to journalists.”
