“I am very grateful after a long back and forth that I can say that the ‘Helene Fischer Show’ finally exists,” said the pop singer on stage. “We weren’t sure for a long time because it’s still difficult. It’s still not that easy to get the international guests. But the show thrives on the fact that I sing duets, that I do acrobatics, that I dance , sing – everything that you are allowed to experience today.” The German online magazine dwdl quotes the singer as saying.
Since 2011, the “Helene Fischer Show” has been shown a total of nine times on Christmas Day, seven of them in a row on ZDF. According to dwdl, almost six million viewers recently watched the show, which was also becoming increasingly popular with young audiences. With a market share of 18 percent, Fischer set a new quota record for 14 to 49 year olds in 2019. In 2020, due to Corona, there was only one best-off to see before the “Helene Fischer Show” even failed completely a year later. In 2022, ZDF and Fischer also decided to cancel, citing “too many imponderables and production challenges”.
ZDF has not yet commented on the comeback. A little over a week ago, the broadcaster said when asked that it was “still too early for a planning status”.
